The adorable, handsome, tall guy from a Japanese boyband Hey! Say! JUMP; Nakajima Yuto is no longer your average idol. Born on 10th August, 1993, Nakajima Yuto who is from Tokyo is widely known in Japan due to his frequence appearances on television screen along with his bandmates. Though he is not the most popular nor the least popular in HSJ, he did give an impact to anyone who sees him.

Entering J&A at age of 10 years old on 28th March, 2004, he was the most popular Johnny's Junior for few years until he debuted. He is very well loved by all the senpais such as Tacky & Tsubasa, KAT TUN (Tanaka Koki even made Yuto an outfit for Yuto!), NEWS and even Fujigaya Taisuke from Kis-My-Ft2. At a very young age, Johnny-san gave Yuto the opportunity to shine and getting known by JE talents' fans through few popular dramas alongside his famous senpais;

→ 24 Hour Television - The Little Engineer's Last Dream (acted with Kusanagi Tsuyoshi from SMAP)
→ Engine drama (act with Kimura Takuya from SMAP and Arioka Daiki; HSJ bandmate)
→ Nobuta Wa Produce drama (act with Kamenashi Kazuya from KAT TUN and Yamashita Tomohisa)

Due to his talents, he was given a chance to act as a main actor for his first solo drama; Primadam that was aired on 2006 with super famous actress; Kuroki Hitomi (Good Luck!!, GTO Remake).

He was placed on J.J. Express during his Johnny's Jr days as one of the main members with Kouhei Matsumoto (ex Johnny's), Takumi Yamashita (ex Johnny's), and Inoo Kei which is now part of Yuto's bandmate in HSJ. Later, he was chosen as part of Tap Kids along with Ryutaro Morimoto (ex HSJ), and Kanda Noriyuki (Johnny's Jr). No wonder he is the only one who could do tap dance in HSJ. He was featured as hero and dancer in Jibun No Tame Ni PV (Tokio) and Seishun Amigo PV (Shuji to Akira) respectively. He also active in theatre from 2005 until 2007; Endless Shock (2005), Dream Boys (2006), Takizawa Enbujo (2006), One! -History of Tackey- (2006) and Takizawa Enbujo 2007 (2007). So, I guess this video is between Takizawa Enbujo 2006 and 2007.

On April 2007, he was recruited to be part of temporary unit; Hey! Say! 7 with other four Johnny's Jrs namely Takaki Yuya, Arioka Daiki, Yamada Ryosuke and Chinen Yuri. They managed to released one single entitled "Hey! Say!" and not longer after that, he was called to be permanent member of newly created JE group; Hey! Say! JUMP with other 9 talents.

His acting career continue after he became stable with his current group. On 2008, his acted for Sensei Wa Erai movie, alongside his HSJ bandmates; Arioka Daiki, Yamada Ryosuke and Chinen Yuri. On the same year, he once again acted with the same members for Scrap Teacher drama. Then, all of sudden, his acting career stopped. No rumors, no nothing about his acting career until 2012, where he acted with Yamada Ryosuke and Fujigaya Taisuke for Risou No Musuko drama. Everyone was dumbfounded watching Yuto's acting. He was awesome, too awesome for someone who didn't act for 3 years. Hence, people is looking forward to see Yuto's acting again in the future and hopefully, he will get some cooler character or better; the antagonist

Until now, he has done many CMs with JUMP members (mostly with 7 members): Benesse, Wii Sports, Lotte Ghana, Lotte Fruitio Plus X, Lotte Fruitio Skarch (I'm not sure if I spelled this right), Bourbon Ohafuru & Yorufuru, Bourbon Almond Rush.

After Share House no Koibito, he got an impressive drama on himself; Hanzawa Naoki. His role was Nakanishi Eiji, a junior banker Tokyo Chuo Bank. Later, he did come as guest actor in Tokyo Bandwagon for episode 2 and 8 as Masutani Yuuta; an older brother for this one lady that seek refuge from the book cafe.

2014 was one of the best year for Yuto. He was part of Yowakutemo Katemasu drama as Shirao Tsuyoshi; ace batter of the group along with other famous actors; Ninomiya from Arashi, Fukushi Sota and Yamazaki Kento. Later, he was cast again with Yamazaki Kento for Suikyuu Yankees drama. Bandmate Takaki Yuya also joined the cast. Ase e no Yell, a coupling single with Weekender served as Suikyuu Yankees's ending song. It was a high, energetic song that represent the drama (and indirectly represent our hyper Yuto). Yuto's first drama on 2015 was Date ~ Koi to wa donna mono kashira (with Anne and Hasegawa Hiroki). 2016 will mark his movie debut in Pink and Grey (the original novel was written by his senpai from News; Shigeaki Kato).

♛ THE AMAZING HEIGHT

He used to be so small when he first joined JE with the height of 145 cm (at that time, he was among the smallest and of course, the cutest Johnny's Jr ) but now wow! You will be antonished (just like me) with his current height. Can you imagine, a small, 10 years old kid of height 145 cm could become so tall! At age 19, his height is 177.8 cm! He is kinda tall for Japanese people. He is the 2nd tallest in HSJ (Yabu is 178 cm) thus making Yuto one of the tallest in JE talents ever! (sob sob my baby is growing up well).

Because of his super height, he is now a permanent model of Fineboys magazine. Though he won't appear in each edition due to other commitment, Yuto and Fineboys staffs will do their best to do photoshoots for the magazine so Yuto fangirls, rejoice! Until now, he did a good work impressing the fangirls (even I died many times tyvm) . He was even featured as the main cover for Oshare Hair Catalog Winter (2012) version :D But of course, it has nothing to do with his height, just his hair orz

As of 2015, I've lost counts on how many magazine and tv show appearances he had. NYLON, Seventeen, with, JMovie Magazine, Cinema Square, Barfout, Non-no, Orisuta, Catch the Star, +act, Flix etc etc. So proud of him!

♛ FUN FACTS

I've been doing some research about Yuto since long time ago (NO, I AM NOT A STALKER. I just admire Yuto to the point that my brain isn't functioning anymore) so this is going to be ver~y long. Though I can't provide solid evidence like videos or translations, you need to trust me because I don't like to lie especially about my bias. I am a normal human so I forgot things. I do not claim any of this, I just did some homework lol (if only there's YUTO EXAM).

» During Shokura, he was asked about what is his pride and his answer was very adorable but firm "My body is flexible so I won't lose to anyone at that". He was and still is but he doesn't show much now
» Yuto is the only member in HSJ who could do tap dance and moon walk (I bet he is Micheal Jackson fan... and well, he was part of Tap Kids)


» Yuto is good in impersonation (monomane) esp rooster, kamenashi's face and tanoshingo's chuu nyuu.
» When in aeroplane, Yuto always get a stomach ache (jet lag for sure)
» It is said that Yuto still haven't got his first kiss (I'd say that's a lie, I mean, come one, a guy like Yuto and still haven't got his first kiss? gimme a break. ★ For some reason, Yabu said Yuto could make a good husband/boyfriend because of his style, his attitude and his height (lol Yabu, aren't you the same?) Yabu even said that, if a member to become a boyfriend, he will pick Yuto.

With Takaki Yuya; adorable + weird OTP


One of the rarest OTP in JUMP but when you assemble them together, trust me, you won't know who is older and who is younger.

★ Takajima is a playful OTP. They always make funny expression/reaction when hosting Shokura.


★ Yuto used to hold Takaki's uchiwa in one of 2008 concert. I thought it's cute so I shared it here.
★ Tashumimen (multi-interest men); this is how Takaki describe Yuto. And it seems everyone realized this.
★ Believe me when I say that both of them are still calling their mom as "mama". This is Cwit's guilty pleasure OTP >D
★ Both of them love sharing food (ie pocky and chocolate bar)

★ Hikaru used to tease Yuto with fox-like-hand-thinggy and Yuto always cried because of it.
★ Yuto said Hikaru is his 2nd oniichan after Kamenashi Kazuya. So, whenever Hikaru teased Yuto, Yuto will report it to Kame (how cute can this relationship be?)
★ Both Yuto and Hikaru are trivia lover.
★ They used to play percussion as duet in HSJ 2010 concert. Like wise, Hikaru is playing the bass while Yuto is playing the drums. And from my observation, many fans want to see it again in the future.
★ Hikaru and Yuto love to talk about percussion and instrument; we can also define them as music freak OTP. Plus, Hikaru even suggested name for Yuto's drum!
★ Hikaru thinks Yuto is kyoumen (cooperate man) because Yuto helped him with drums during Ikemen Desu Ne drama.
★ Don't be surprised! Hikaru actually bought shorts for Yuto as Yuto's birthday present and jealous!Yabu is jealous lol This was mentioned on one of their concert MC betweetn 2011-2012.

With Arioka Daiki; forever food OTP


★ I don't know why but each time both of them having duet photoshoot, it's always related to food.
★ Daichan knows how much Yuto loves animals so Daichan's definition of Yuto is bureemen (breman) :3
★ During Hey! Say! making, Daichan was piggyback-ing Yuto, which at that time still skinny, underweight and yeah; pretty much both of them had the same height XD

With Okamoto Keito; fond with each other OTP


Their first encounter was during temporary HS7 time. Keito just came back from England and became a Johnny's Jr on 2006. It seems that Keito's dad, Okamoto Kenichi talked with Yuto and asked him to take a good care of Keito which is why we can see how close Okajima is. Yuto used to teach Keito how to dance and such, it was so sweet of him. And now, they always play instruments together in JUMP concert. Not to mention, Keito is diligently teaching Yuto how to play guitar!

Keito is the most frequent member to call Yuto as Yutorin. Even during Over PV making, Keito compliment Yuto using Yutorin nickname.
Yuto always trying to flirt with Keito, such as making faces when he is near to Keito. I can see that Keito is being tsundere towards Yuto because Keito is cool afterall :)

★ Yuto took a picture of Keito's sleeping face when they were in Hong Kong (is that a payback Yuto?)

With Yamada Ryosuke; rabit fangirls OTP


Without a doubt, Yutoyama is the most popular OTP in HSJ fandom. Those two have a chemistry that any OTP does not have; their epic-ness. They met when Yamada was auditioning for Johnny's Junior on 2004 and Yuto was the one who started the conversation by inviting him to go back together (asdfghjkl;). Even though Yamada has the biggest fanbase in HSJ, it never stop him to look Yuto as his senpai. Yamada still using '-kun' when addressing Yuto (though now, he always called Yuto as Yutti lol). Both of them went to Horikoshi Gakuen for 3 years.

Yutoyama used to create a phenomena in HSJ fandom, back in temporary HS7 because of their mutualism, the playfulness between them and the sweet (cheeky) interaction that was shown on TV screen and magazines. Then, on 2012, Yamajima, once again, creating a phenomena; awaking the fangirls from long slumber through HSJ's 9th PV; Super Delicate. It's true, they have hundreds of fanservice due to the SD choreography but we can truly see how they enjoyed being together; love making fans screaming like nuts. They even admit that they feel normal doing that, not any slightest embarrassment were shown.

Then again, they are best friends so yeah, keep calm and -- /flip desk/ THERE IS NO KEEP CALM IN YUTOYAMA FANDOM. Oh yes, Japanese fans addressed them as YamaYuto.

★ Yuto used to invite Yamada to Papua New Guinea to catch some bugs.
★ Yamada has a height complex and refused to be compared with Yuto. He even asked Yuto to give some of Yuto's height to him! lol That's why, Yamada's definition for Yuto is nagamen.
★ Yabuhika ship Yutoyama. In fact, all JUMP members ship Yutoyama. This was revealed in one of their 2012 concert.
★ Yuto really admires Yamada. He said Yamada shines when singing and dancing. Yuto also said Yamada's ability to focus is something to be respected for.
★ Yuto is the one who persuade Yamada to practice saxophone more so Yamada can perform with JUMP band. And Yamada succeed! (lesson for today: always listen to Yuto)
★ There was a time when Yutoyama ride an aeroplane from Hawaii. At that time, the plane was shaking so Yuto hold Yamada's hand who was happened to sit besides him.
★ Yamada wish to have a corner with Yuto and Chinen in Duet magazine.

With Chinen Yuri; sweet devilish OTP


Probably the sweetest yet evil pairing in HSJ. As we all know, Chinen loves being mean to Yuto but Yuto, on the other hand, loves to pamper Chinen. If Chinen is do-S, then Yuto is do-M. Fans refer them as NakaChii, YutoChii and YutoRi. Chinen also went to the same school as Yuto and Yamada.

Before they met with each other, Yuto heard other Johnny's Juniors talking about a new kid. They said that the new kid is even cuter than Yuto so Yuto went to check it out. At first, he was feeling curious, something like "A new kid that is cuter than me? No way" but after he met Chinen, he admit that Chinen is cuter than him.

★ They have a corner in Duet magazine; YY Club. Because of the overload cuteness and understanding between these two, fans ship them so hard (I am no exception).
★ Not just a corner together, but NakaChii also have a duet song; You & You (representing You in Yuto and You in Yuri).
★ Chinen was the first person to call Yuto as Yutti.
★ When Chinen is making fun of Yuto, Yuto will replied him nicely, making Chinen feeling guilty and apologize while laughing (esp in HS7 Ultra Power)
★ Chinen said it is okay to have members shuffle for YY Club once in a while but at the end, the corner must be given back to Yuto and him (how sweet!). Then, there's one time, when Yuto heard that Chinen said he doesn't want to give YY Corner to any other member, he wants to do this corner with Yuto only. When Yuto wants to confirm it, Chinen denied. Chinen is really tsundere.
★ Yuto always the one who carry Chinen, no matter what XD.
★ Both Yuto and Chinen's favourite menu at their school canteen is Ontama Curry.
★ There's an interview where Chinen purposed Yuto (for marriage lol) after Yuto being a sweet talker!
★ Yuto's definition of Chinen is kawamen (cute man) while for Chinen, Yuto is rizumumen (rhythm man).
★ Chinen declared that Yuto is his servant. There's also an interview where Yuto claimed himself (unintentionally) as Chinen's butler :P Some fans even making this fanart XD
★ Those two seems very close in real life. Yuto said that in J&A, he is very close with Chinen.
★ Yuto and Chinen always have the same hairstyle, making people confused them when looking at the back (of course, if there's no height difference)
★ Yuto and Chinen always the first pairing to do their video shooting (Hey! Say!, Magic Power and Super Delicate), even Yuto noticed this :P

With Koyama Keiichiro (NEWS); the closest senpai

★ Yuto always go out to eat with Koyama.
★ Yuto used to consult with Koyama about his future; about university and work.
★ Yuto really admire Koyama's hosting ability.
★ One of 2009's shokura episode; Koyama called Yuto for Junior ni Q corner. When Yuto came, Koyama was shocked to see Yuto's height. Yuto was about to boast his height then suddenly Koyama cut him off lol
★ There's few pictures of Koyama with Yuto in private. Koyama even revealed it in his magazine interview.
★ Yuto mentioned that senpai he's very close with is Koyama. And Koyama said the same thing; Yuto is the closest kouhai.

With Fujigaya Taisuke (Kis-My-Ft2); the good old days oniichan

★ Taipi used to take care of Yuto during Johnny's Jr days. He always accompanied Yuto on the way back from practice.

★ And yes, he dotes Kento so much (from Arashi Shiyagare and some magazines that show off-recording scene)
★ In Kento's Memorial Book - Scene 20; he said he often listen to HSJ's Asu e no Yell. He got the CD from Yuto and does not listen to other new songs for now. PLEASE BRING THESE TWO TOGETHER AGAIN

With Mamiya Shoutarou
★ Since Yowakutemo, these two becoming good friends. They've become even closer in Suikyuu Yankees (aka Suiyan) and went out together for drinks (there was a paparazzi of these two being drunk but it was nothing big)
★ Yuto also took some photos of Mamiya and Mamiya tweeted/blogged the photos and credited Yuto as Yuu
★ In Suiyan makings, Mamiya said after Yowakutemo ended, Yuto confined his problems with Mamiya; asking Mamiya's advices on Yuto's new role (Suikyan) without knowing Mamiya will also be part of Suiyan casts. "I think he'll be okay. Because he could properly rely on other people" - Mamiya, 2014

★ When Sakurako first time meet Yuto, he was still black hair; Sakurako was shocked to know Yuto will be the yankee hero. "He is so refreshing, good manners and looked so kind. He'll be a yankee?!"
